Abstract

The concept of time occupies a central place in human cognition, language, and culture. Time and temporality influence the way people perceive reality, organize events, and express experiences in linguistic communication. This article examines the concept of time from linguistic and cognitive perspectives, focusing on how temporal meanings are represented in language and discourse. The study explores the relationship between time, temporality, and conceptualization, highlighting the role of temporal expressions, grammatical categories, and cultural interpretations of time. Special attention is given to the linguistic representation of temporal relations and the ways in which different languages encode temporal meanings. The research demonstrates that the concept of time is not only a physical or philosophical category but also a fundamental cognitive structure reflected in language.
